The Silent Killer – Mentally

Struggle is the Blueprint isn’t all about building a mindset. While it’s a big part of it, there’s more to it than just that.

In life, you’ll face many different challenges.

Maybe you get fired from your job. What if you get into a car accident? You lose a loved one. A friend betrays you.

So on and so forth.

There’s one challenge in particular I’d like to touch on here.

That is doubt.

Doubt can be an internal challenge as well as an external challenge.

Meaning doubt can come from you or someone else.

Some folks are more wired to prove everyone wrong.

Others are better equipped to prove themselves wrong.

How you handle either just depends on the person you are.

I know for myself it’s the external doubt I have an easier time dealing with.

The fuel it becomes for me is undeniable.

Turns it all into a game honestly.

I love proving people wrong, or at the very least trying to.

Internal doubt is where I stumble. Maybe you do too.

I’ve always loved proving myself wrong in a physical fitness context. That’s easy.

What isn’t easy is when I sit in every other type of doubtful thought and ponder it for a while.

There comes a point when it can get almost debilitating.

“Am I really a good dad?”

“Do I actually make a difference in other’s lives?”

“Can I be counted on?”

Everyone, at some point, has thoughts like these.

The difference is that maybe you can disregard them better than I can.

In the end, it always goes back to the mindset.

You can choose to let it rule over you, or take action.

I know my preference.

There’s no point being down about what others think, or what you think of yourself.

You have what it takes to make a difference for yourself.

Maybe you just don’t believe it yet.

Make this your starting point.

Make this your first step into silencing your doubters. Inside and out.

Day by day keep stacking small wins.

Don’t rush. Build your momentum.

Wake up with purpose and execute.

Learn what you need to learn.

Use the resources you have available to you.

Lean on the people who help you most.

It’s the least you can do for yourself.

Forever learning. Always building.
